I have two clients who are young professionals with significant future earning potential. However, their umbrella policy didn’t include uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.
If someone were to hit them and they couldn’t work, they would want to sue for lost wages incurred. But if the driver at fault didn’t have enough insurance, our clients would’ve been on their own to pay for their expenses while they couldn’t work. For $94, we added $1M in uninsured/underinsured coverage.
